HaulPilot Junk Removal is a family-run hauling company in Burnsville, Minnesota. This page explains what we collect when you use gohaulpilot.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written in plain English on purpose.

What we collect

When you request a quote. Your name and phone number, and — if you give them — your email address, the pickup address, a description of what needs to go, your preferred date, and any photos you upload.

When you leave a review. Your rating and comments, the name and city you enter, and an email or phone number if you choose to add one.

Automatically. Standard web server records — the pages requested, rough location from your IP address, and your browser type. See “Advertising measurement” below for the advertising cookies we do use.

Photos

Photos you upload with a quote request are stored so our crew can see the job before arriving — it is how we size the truck and the crew, and how we give you a firm price. They are not published anywhere, not used in advertising, and not shown to anyone outside HaulPilot. If you would like a photo deleted, ask and we will remove it.

What we use it for

• Giving you a quote and getting in touch about it
• Scheduling and completing the job
• Following up if we have not heard back — usually two messages, then we stop
• Asking for a review after a completed job
• Keeping our own records of work performed

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. Ever.

Who else touches it

We use a small number of service providers to run the business, and your information passes through them only so they can provide that service to us:

• Supabase — our database and file storage
• Vercel — hosts this website
• Resend — sends our email
• Twilio — sends our text messages

We will also disclose information if the law requires it.

Reviews

A review only appears on this website if you ticked the box giving permission and we approved it. We publish the rating, your comments, and the first name and city you provided. We never publish your email address or phone number. Ask us and we will take a published review down.

Text messages (SMS)

If you tick the box on our quote form, we may text you about your quote and your job — confirming details, letting you know when the crew is on the way, and following up if we have not heard back. Message frequency varies by job; typically 2–6 messages per request. Message and data rates may apply.

• Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
• We only text people who have opted in through our quote form. We do not send marketing texts to numbers we scraped or purchased.
• No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Email

If we email you, every message has a way to opt out, and telling us to stop is enough — you do not need to use any particular wording. If you text or call us we will keep a record of it so we know where things stand.

How long we keep things

We keep quote requests and job records for as long as we are working with you and for a reasonable period afterwards, because customers come back and we want to know what we hauled last time. If you want your information removed sooner, ask.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your information
• Stop contacting you

Email or call and we will do it. We will not make you jump through hoops.

Advertising measurement

This site uses the Meta Pixel and similar advertising cookies to measure how our advertising performs — for example, whether someone who saw our ad went on to request a quote. That measurement never includes the personal details you send through the quote form: your name, phone number, email, address and job description are not shared with the pixel. You can opt out at any time through your browser's cookie settings or your ad preferences with Meta.

Children

This site is for adults arranging a service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
